How can I pay for my surgery? This is one of our most commonly asked questions.
In short, the answer is that we accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express (1.5% surcharge applies), third party financers and direct deposit.
In our clinic we also accept payment from legitimate third party financers such as MacCredit and TLC (Total Lifestyle Credit). We suggest you research these companies by Googling medical loans. You may also wish to speak with your financial institution about a personal loan or a low-interest credit card to help assist funding and make a decision that is in your best interest.

Depending our your procedure it may well be that your Private Health Insurer and Medicare will also contribute to the funding of your procedure and our staff will be able to explain this to you either over the phone, via an online enquiry or when you attend your initial consultation.
DOES DR PATRICK BRIGGS ‘BULK BILL’ OR OFFER ‘NO GAP’ SURGERIES?
Unfortunately Dr Briggs is unable to offer a ‘Bulk Billing’ or ‘No Gap’ service. For a range of procedures there may be a Medicare rebate available to claim once you have had your surgery.
How do I claim these rebates?
If you have had a procedure that attracts a Medicare item number we will issue you with a receipt for the procedure after your surgery. You will then be able to take that receipt to Medicare for assessment and if eligible process the rebate for you.
After Medicare has assessed and processed your claim, you can then take the Statement of Claim and Benefit Payment to your health fund. Generally, health funds will not pay a rebate on items that Medicare have not assigned a benefit on and if the primary purpose of the surgery was cosmetic they will refuse to pay any benefit.
WHAT ABOUT MY SUPERANNUATION, CAN I USE THAT?
We have had patients over the years access their superannuation on compassionate grounds to pay for medical procedures that are recognised by Medicare. Access may be granted to patients who suffer from medical conditions causing ‘acute or chronic pain’ such as breast reduction and abdominoplasty.
It is not available to those patient wishing to fund cosmetic procedures

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! Patients can pay for their surgery in planned increments leading up to their surgery.
For example if you are booked for our Breast Augmentation Complete package in four months we welcome you to make weekly payments of $800. This will give you the peace of mind of knowing that the total $11,200 will be paid 2 weeks prior to your scheduled surgery date!

WHEN WILL I HAVE TO PAY MY SURGICAL FEES?
Fees must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the scheduled procedure. This can be paid by MasterCard, Visa, American Express (1.5% surcharge applies), third party finance and direct deposit.
The fees for the anaesthetic and hospital service will be collect by the third party providers and do not need to be paid to Dr Briggs. The anaesthetist will call you in the two weeks leading up to your surgery and your chosen hospital will take payment upon admission.
Regrettably, if payment is not received by the due date, the operation will be cancelled.
